Another month, another vet bill… actually two. We ended up taking Stinger back to the vet at the beginning of June to have his stifle looked at. At this appointment he had an x-ray and ultrasound of his right stifle, and injections in his stifle and hind fetlocks. The second vet bill was just to get health certificates for rodeos and traveling out of state. The first appointment we had to haul to, so there is also gas included in this month’s total.

This month also included two appointments for PEMF therapy, as well as liniment and vet wrap from Tractor Supply. The other half of the gas total was used for traveling to the PEMF appointments, which were only about 30 minutes away from home. (Of course I forgot to take pictures while we were there.)

Feed for this month included 2 bags for $44. We also made hay, so I was responsible for buying the baling twine. I included this in farm supplies, but it really takes the place of the cost for feeding hay. We made around 1500 bales so far this year, which will last us until next year. We actually got more than normal for our first cut.

I only went to one barrel race in June and spent $15 for two exhibitions, and the grounds fee. I actually rode one on Stinger and the other on Angus.

2nd Quarter Recap
I realized as I was writing this post that I messed up and included an extra month in the 1st Quarter recap. So, this one includes April again, but everything will be fixed/correct for the year-end summary.

The vet bills category is of course the most again, I would definitely be fine not paying any more for the rest of the year! Everything else is pretty close together. The entry fees are lower than last quarter since my slot is now paid for, and we have not been entering as many rodeos with Stinger.
