October/November Expenses

October was a pretty low spending month, I only bought two bags of feed. While November was a lot more exciting so I included both months in this post.

We had yet another trip to the vet for Stinger, we were there for a couple hours for multiple tests and treatments. We did a repeat lameness exam, nerve blocking, and then ultrasounds of his hind legs. Then once we found the issue, he had a shockwave treatment and a PRP injection. Our bill also included some miscellaneous items as well. Our round trip to the vet is about 3 hours and 124 miles. This was the only place we went to in October/November with Stinger. (My aunt went to a couple jackpots with Angus)

Due to Stinger’s injury I decided to buy him a red-light boot from XLR8. It should help in his recovery. I also bought him a new magnetic blanket. He really likes to wear them, but his other one is really tight on his neck and too short. I waited until the Black Friday sale to buy these so I could save some money. Thankfully this one fit perfectly. He also got his shoes reset again, this time with extended heels as recommended by the vet.

We also moved stinger to a new stall, so I got him a new feed bucket, the cheapest thing I bought this month. As well as another load of sawdust, which was my turn to pay for.

I was not expecting to pay another vet bill this month, but I am really glad we got some answers about Stinger and finally a way to move forward.
