January 2025 Expenses
January’s expenses were not very exciting. We didn’t do very much with the temperatures as cold as they were. I am now feeding two horses, and that’s where the majority of the money was spent this month. Stinger is only getting a half scoop of feed while Reno is getting a full scoop. Stinger is not very happy about that, but he doesn’t need any extra energy while he is still on stall rest. I bought 5 bags this month as well as a salt block for in Reno’s stall.
The only other cost was my second payment on the loan for Reno.
February 2025 Expenses
February was a boring month of expenses again. I guess I shouldn’t complain about not spending money with a vet checkup scheduled in March for Stinger. I bought 4 bags of feed at the beginning of the month. Since I’m using about 5 bags a month, I had to get another 4 bags at the end of the month, so I didn’t have to make another trip in a week. It should last for most of March. I also restocked on my gastric supplement and treats. Stinger and Reno really like the Apple Berry Cookie cubes which are forage based and low sugar.
It was also time for another load of sawdust, which got a little bit delayed so I also had to buy three bags of sawdust to hold us over until we could go for a trailer load. More on that headache later.
Lastly, it was time for my second insurance payment and third loan payment. The insurance is now halfway paid off, but I still have a while to go on the loan for now.
